Since 2010 Courchevel is back on the Alpine Ski World Cup circuit with a women’s event.

This winter, Courchevel will also host the ski mountaineering World Cup.

Courchevel has been hosted the summer International Ski Jumping Grand Prix for 23 years.

During the 16th Winter Olympics in 1992, which took place in Albertville, Courchevel hosted ski jump trials and the Nordic Combined. The resort also accommodated the International Olympic Committee.

Courchevel is proud to have six promising athletes who might compete in the coming Olympic Games: Alexis Pinturault, Anne-Sophie Barthet, Taïna Barioz, Nicolas Mayer, Arnaud Dunand and Léa Lemare.

Courchevel has been acknowledged over the years as a prestige ski resort, ideally located in the 3 Valleys, the world’s biggest ski area.
