At the beginning of March, the last regular World Cup races on the men's calendar will take place in Kranjska Gora (SLO), before the best 25 racers of each disciplines are heading to Aspen (USA) for the World Cup Finals.

In the tech discipline giant slalom and slalom, the battle for the globe promise to be very exciting and the Podkoren course may be decisive, as both globe winners may be known by the end of the Kranjska Gora week-end.

For this late-season organiser, the course preparation is a curcial point to guarantee high standard races, and once again the Pokal Vitranc Organising Committee did a fantastic job preparing the race track. Humidity, temperature and density of the snow, everything has to be mesured and tested before the event can be confirmed.

After the snow control from Thursday 23rd of February, Kranjska Gora got the green light to organise the scheduled giant slalom and the slalom on 4th - 5th March 2017.
