Théaux tops the downhill training ranking in Lake Louise

The first official training run of the Audi FIS Ski World Cup 2017/18 is in the books and Adrien Théaux set the fastest time on the downhill track of Lake Louise.
Unusual warm and wet weather hit the Canadian Rockies in the past days and the two first training runs had to be cancelled. Even though some spots were still a little soft, the course was in a way better condition today and allowed the first official downhill training of the season from the very top.
The Frenchman Adrien Théaux tackled the course the best, with a running time of 1:52:44. He is followed by the Austrian Olympic Champion Matthias Mayer (+0.35) and the attacking viking Kjetil Jansrud (+0.69).
It’s always hard to say who pushed the limits already in training and who was holding back and saving the race line for tomorrow. The downhill will start at 12h15 LOC / 20h15 CET and then we’ll know who takes the first win of the season.
