Dominik Paris doubles up in Bormio

It was a tight race, actually the tightest possible, as the second place finishes only +0.01 behind Paris. Olympic Champion Matthias Mayer is grabbing his first podium of the season on one of the toughest course on the Tour. “We need more of these races, I really like these conditions,” he said. The Austrian is very happy to be back at the end of the podium and hopes to carry on into the January races.
In third place, Norwegian Aleksander Aamodt Kilde claimed a 10th World Cup podium in career. The winner of the Val Gardena super-g wasn’t feeling very well on the downhill day, but today the stars aligned again and he could carry on the momentum on Italian snow.
This super-g concluded the races in Bormio and the men's World Cup Tour will now move on to Oslo for a City Event on January 1st.
