In today’s men’s downhill training at the 2018 Lake Louise Audi FIS Ski World Cup, Manuel Osborne-Paradis (CAN) went down in lower fishnet and sustained a lower leg injury. At the team captain’s meeting in the evening, the race doctor Tom Rich confirmed that he suffered a tibia fibula fracture. Osborne Paradis was transported to Banff Mineral Springs Hospital by ground ambulance and then transferred to Calgary for surgery.

Following this injury, the Canadian speed racer also known as Manny will be sidelined for the rest of the 2018/19 season. In 2017, he claimed the bronze medal in super-g in the World Championships in St. Moritz. He earned 11 World Cup podiums, including three wins in Kvitfjell (DH 2009), Lake Louise (SG 2009) and Val Gardena (DH 2009).

We will for sure miss Manny on the Tour and we wish him a full and fast recovery.
