Max Franz waslked away with the super-G victory in snowy BEaver Creek today finishing ahead of a packed podium that included Mauro Caviezel (SUI) in second and the trio Aksel Lund Svindal (NOR), Dominik Paris (IITA) and Aleksander Aamodt Kilde (NOR) in a very rare three-way tie for third place.

After winning the downhill in Lake Louise last week, Franz struck again in Beaver Creek and grabbed his first career super-C win. The Birds of Prey wasn't so good to Franz in the past as he suffered many crashes on this hill, including an ACL tear. But with this win, his third in career, he's at peace with the U.S. venue again.

In second place, Caviezel showcased his early season form again. After a taking second place in the super-G in Lake Louise and second place in the downhill yesterday at Beaver Creek, the Swiss racer was able to claim a 4th World Cup podium in his career.

Behind the two leaders, three athletes finished tied in third place. Svindal, Paris and Kilde. It's the first time since 2006, when Lindsey Vonn, Nadia Styger and Michaela Dorfmeister shared the win in Hafjell/Kvitfjell, that three athletes were tied on the podium.

The racing weekend in Beaver Creek concludes tomorrow with a giant slalom on the Birds of Prey. The race is schedule to start at 09:45 and 12:45 local time (17:45 / 20:45 CET).
