Postponement of the snow control in Lake Louise

The 2018 Lake Louise Audi FIS Ski World Cup race organizing committee is working aggressively to achieve a positive snow control for the men’s Audi FIS Ski World Cup downhill and super-G races at the Lake Louise Ski Resort.  Unfortunately, as in the past years, FIS Chief Race Director Hannes Trinkl had to postponed the date of the snow control to Monday 12th November 2018. “After a relatively warm fall season, we are encouraged by the current weather & upcoming forecasts and are confident in the abilities of our volunteers and the Lake Louise Ski Resort to be race ready,” states Brian Lynam, Race Chairman, Lake Louise Audi FIS Ski World Cup.

FIS Race Director, Hannes Trinkl and men’s Chief of Race, Darrell MacLachlan will direct our activities and monitor progress over the coming days with the next update on Monday, 12th November 2018.

Men’s downhill and super-G races are scheduled to take place Saturday, 24th November and Sunday, 25th November, while ladies’ downhill races are scheduled for Friday, 30th November and Saturday, 1st December, followed by a ladies’ super-G on Sunday, 2nd December.
 
The Audi FIS Ski World Cup races, along with the NORAM events will continue to move ahead and work towards their respective snow controls. The race organizing committees are fully committed to the delivery of those events.
