Aug 23, 2018·Alpine Skiing

Garmisch-Partenkirchen’s history is intertwined with Alpine skiing like no other German winter sports resort: The Winter Olympic Games were held here in 1936, the Alpine Ski World Championships in 1978 and 2011 and World Cup events have been staged here annually since 1970. The Kandahar run in GA-PA is one of the most demanding races in the Alpine Ski World Cupi Tour and a highlight for both spectators and participants. The classical downhill and a SuperG will take place on Saturday and Sunday on the German soil.
