Katharina Liensberger's case is solved
Nov 15, 2019·Alpine SkiingKatharina Liensberger (AUT) will complete the next two World Cup seasons with Rossignol equipment. The Austrian Ski Association will continue to do its utmost to give her maximum support.
Katharina Liensberger was unable to present a valid equipment contract by the beginning of the season and consequently, she couldn't start at the World Cup opening in Sölden (AUT). Today, the contract formalities with Rossignol company have been completed on time and successfully. As a result, the Team Olympic and Team World Championship silver medalist will compete in the World Cup slalom in Levi (FIN) as a member of the ÖSV national team.
Katharina Liensberger: "I am an Austrian ski racer with great enthusiasm. All the more it's essential for me to do everything I could to ski fast and be consistent. Unfortunately, a decision in the spring had far-reaching unpleasant consequences. Now I am enriched by some experiences, and I can finally focus on training and racing. I want to thank everyone for their understanding and above all those who helped me to solve this tricky situation. "
ÖSV Sport Director Toni Giger says: "We are pleased that Katharina can now fully concentrate on the sport again. She has missed essential training sessions in the last few weeks and she will, therefore, need some time to make up for lost time and fix her set-up. From our side, we will give her full support, so she can quickly play her full potential again. "
