Soelden was indisputably a great show as usual, with a few surprises and some outstanding performances by those athletes that had finished strong last season. While the winners know they have started off on the right foot, those behind them also know that there is still work to be done to get to the top of the podium.

So, the three-week break, before the World Cup Tour heads to Levi, Finland on 23-24 November, enables athletes to fine-tune the last details. But that’s not all!
Most athletes are also busy with their own lives off the slopes, engaging in a various range of activities. So what are our heroes up to during these weeks between Soelden and the Northernmost race? Discover it below!

There are those who, after winning their first World Cup race at 17,  return home for the last week of school. We also want to wish her a fast recovery from a bone bruise injury that will force her to skip the next Giant Slalom in Killington.

That’s a fat wrap! Dunno how we made it but 13 yrs of school done and dusted! Thanks for the awesome memories everyone it’s been fun ❤️ #laterz #adaltaforever

There are other ones who take advantage of the short break to relax and engage in sponsors activations.

Excited to be a part of the @landroverusa #landroverusalpineskiteam! Jumping for joy for the plug-in hybrid that’s coming soon so I can re-charge it in to my brand-spankin’-new charging station at my new house! 👏 Also, a big shout-out and DANKE SCHÖN to the Munich @landrover dealership (@britishcarslandrover) for making the pick-up easy en route to my first race at Sölden...safe to say it was a success!! 🥳😜👌🚗

Some make kind concessions to the media, giving interviews in German!

Danke @servustv , ich hoffe, ich kann nächstes Jahr noch besser Deutsch sprechen 🙈 #SportAndTalk #ServusTV

Working on some ninja skills with his partner in crime after a career-best result in Soelden is also an option!

With our powers combined...

Finally, while most athletes prepare for the season ahead, the retired ones are also pretty active.

Felix Neureuther was busy presenting his friend and former rival Marcel Hirscher with the ‘Austrian Sports Personality of the Year’ award for the sixth time.

It was a pleasure my friend! #nosnownoshow @marcel__hirscher

Lindsey Vonn meanwhile announced the imminent release of her latest documentary “The Final Season”. The documentary will be available on 26th November on HBO.  Enjoy the trailer in her instagram post below.

Watching this trailer makes me emotional every time I see it. Can’t wait to share my journey with you guys, my supporters and fans. Thank you all for sticking with me through it all. Watch it on @hbo November 26th. ❤️

Someone else decided to write an autobiography, with English and German version to be made available soon!

Never judge a book by its cover😉#reklameforegenbok The first day was stressful. It felt like a search for juicy details that can be made into a headline. Today the feedback is coming in from people that actually took time to read the entire book before they expressed their opinion. Thanks! The whole story is the real story💯 PS. We're working on English🇬🇧 and German🇩🇪 versions

That’s it for the moment, keep following our channels and those of the athletes and their crews to keep up to date with the latest developments around the @fisalpine World Cup!
