Henrik Kristoffersen is back!
After struggling to find the right feeling in the last races, the Norwegian tech ace chose the Night Slalom in Madonna di Campiglio (ITA) to show the world that he still is one of the very best skiers around! Kristoffersen was clearly disappointed after finishing 12th in the first run, 1.25s behind the leader Sebastian Foss-Solevaag (NOR) and showed some impressive skills in the second run, climbing back to the very first spot of the podium. Kristoffersen claimed his 18th slalom victory, the third on this iconic slope joining Alberto Tomba in second position all-time.

"It's probably the most emotional victory for me. In the last period I was struggling to ski fast and I was very disappointed. Skiing is my life. I have my family and skiing, nothing else. So it feels amazing to win a race and succeed, even with only one good run." said Kristoffersen.

The leader of the first run, was able to stay on the podium with a good second run despite the rough conditions. Foss-Solevaag finished second (+0.33s) and scored his first slalom top-three finish since 2016. Overall it's the third slalom podium for the Norwegian, who finished in the top ten in ten of the last 11 races.

Italian Alex Vinatzer proved once again he can fight for the top spots, closing his home race in third position, only one hundredth of a second behind Solevaag. The Italian youngster walks away with his second career podium, after the third place claimed in Zagreb in early January.

After two races Kristoffersen leads the Slalom ranking with 140 points, while Alexis Pinturault (sixth today) goes home for Christmas as leader of the Overall standings.
