The Italian block starts with none other than, Aleksander Aamodt Kilde (NOR) taking the win, claiming his third victory in a row this season. The Norwegian won both the downhill and super-G in Beaver Creek (USA) and has previously won three times in Val Gardena-Groeden (2018 and twice in 2020). Norwegian skiers have a history of performing well on the hill in Val Gardena-Groeden, with winning a record of nine World Cup wins in the men’s super-G, only Austria and Switzerland have won multiple times at this event.

Austrian duo, Matthias Mayer and Vincent Kriechmayr compled the podium placing second and third, respectively, with only a 0.05-second gap splitting the two. Mayer previously placed second and fourth in the super-Gs that took place in Beaver Creek, however, Kriechmayr had yet to place on a super-G podium.

After having a tough start to the season, local favourite, Dominik Paris, put in a solid run to place sixth with 0.05 seconds ahead of Austrian, Max Franz. Swiss, Marco Odermatt placed finished, however, as he stated, it wasn't the course suited for his style of skiing.
