She risks, she makes mistakes, but she is fast and wins again. Sofia Goggia (ITA) returns to success Cortina's downhill, conquering her fourth season victory in the discipline, the seventeenth World Cup, the second in Cortina after the one in 2018.

A downhill cut short due to the wind, which saw the organizers forced to lower the start at the Duca d'Aosta.

Ramona Siebenhofer (AUT), in second place, 20 hundredths behind Goggia, confirms her excellent feeling with the Italian slope after the double victory in 2019. Ester Ledecka (CZE) signed her first podium of the season, finishing third at 26 hundredths from the top.

Goggia has 400 points in the downhill ranking and extends her lead over Ramona Siebenhofer (264) and the American Breezy Johnson (240), who was absent today. In the overall ranking Mikaela Shiffrin (966) still leads ahead of Petra Vlhova (929), but Sofia Goggia is getting closer (769).

Tomorrow it's time for the SuperG on the Olimpia of the Tofane.
