Three firsts in Alta Badia for podium winners

With only 0.37 seconds splitting the top three racers yesterday, Henrik Kristoffersen (NOR), Marco Odermatt (SUI) and Manuel Feller (AUT), all had their eyes on claiming a double podium on the Gran Risa, however, only Odermatt prevailed.

Clocking the fastest time in the first run by 0.18 seconds, the Swiss skier then had a nearly perfect second run, giving him his third giant slalom victory of the season with a hefty 1.01 second lead on Luca de Aliprandini (ITA). OOdermatt has landed on the podium six times so far this season podiums (4 GS and 2 super-G) and has four wins to his credit.

For de Aliprandini (ITA) it was also a dream day as he earned his first giant slalom world cup  World Cup podium.

German Alexander Schmid, squeezed into third place, edging yesterday's winner, Henrik Kristoffersen (NOR) by 0.02 seconds. It was also Schmid's first giant slalom podium appearance.
