After a long injury break, Nina Ortlieb is back on the slopes and has already completed her first days on snow. The skier from Vorarlberg suffered a tibia and fibula fracture in early December 2023 in St. Moritz (SUI) and has worked very hard and intensively over the past nine months to make her comeback. The 28-year-old has successfully fought her way back from injuries several times, including being rewarded with a silver medal in the downhill at the World Championships in Meribel. The skier from Oberlech is known for her determination and fighting spirit, and even after this setback, she remains focused on her goals. Among them is participating in the home World Championships in Saalbach.

"I'm really happy to be back on the slopes, and I'm glad that skiing is going so well again. The last few months certainly weren't always easy, but giving up was never an option for me. I'm too passionate about skiing. I always followed a clear plan and developed step by step. That helped me stay focused and optimistic even in the tougher phases. My goal is to fight my way back to the top of the world rankings, and of course, it would be a dream to compete for a medal at the home World Championships in Saalbach," said the speed specialist.
