South American Cup concludes with a fine week of speed events in Corralco, Chile

The South American Cup Speed finals were held in Corralco, on the heart of the Araucania Región in Chile, featuring the final competitions valid of the South American Cup continental circuit.

Over 90 racers from 22 countries gave their all on the perfectly speed track prepared by the Ski Corralco and Snow Animal teams. Italian Mattia Casson and Czech Tereza Nova had a dream week, securing victories in the downhill races and taking first place overall on the downhill standings.  Argentina’s Tiziano Gravier capped off his excellent season by claiming the Overall champion title. British skier Giselle Gorringe also had a great week, winning the overall standings. Meanwhile on the Super G standings, Andorrand skier Jordina Caminal and U.S. skier Tristan Lane both won the Super G title.

The Alpine Skiing events culminated with an entertaining award ceremony held at the 1,600 restaurant, where participants celebrated the conclusion of the 2024 South American Cup circuit.

The Speed finals were part of the Visa Chile Winter Series Ford event, that reunites snow sports disciplines in South America.

The South American Cup circuit culminated with 20 events in 6 ski resorts, comprising all disciplines and having the presence of many world cup and international teams from all around the globe.
