In about four weeks, it's time for the raceboard athletes to finally kick off their winter.

And as in the previous years, it's Carezza's pleasure to host the first stop of a massive tour which will feature a total nine stops in seven different countries.

Local Organisers are currently working on getting the Pra di Tori slope in shape which will play centre stage for the seventh time already.

And things are looking good at the foot of the Latemar.

The slope is already covered with fresh snow while the production of artificial snow is also running. Several volunteers are up on the mountain day and night to ensure a perfect season's start which is slated to take place on December 14, 2017.

And while the local crew is confident to get everything in place for the first parallel event of the Olympic winter, riders are also looking forward to the show as local hero Nadya Ochner states:

“The World Cup opener is very important. On the one hand it's an home soil event, and on the other hand it can be such a motivation boost for the whole season. I'm really pumped to come back racing in Carezza.”
