The Swiss alpine snowboard nationals took place in Scuol beginning of April also serving as grand finale of a thrilling Europa Cup season.

While Ladina Jenny earned her career's second title, her first one in the parallel giant slalom, by beating fellow country woman Stefanie Mueller, Nevin Galmarini came out successful of the 2014 Olympic final remake edging off Russia's Vic Wild to the second rank.

Julie Zogg rounded out the podium as third with Sebastian Schueler and Silvan Flepp taking the respective second and third rank on the men's side of things.

“I have been racing super constant over the course of the day, and I think that's the reason why I was able to step on the top spot of the podium,” said Jenny.

“It's a nice feeling to wrap up the season like this and be crowned Swiss champion.”

Same for Nevin Galmarini as the local hero added: “It was very important for me to do well here in Scuol. It's the perfect ending to the season.”

Especially as both couldn't repeat the triumph one day later in the parallel slalom event of the Swiss championships which was won by 2014 Olympic champion Patrizia Kummer and David Mueller.

Kummer earned the title finishing second behind of Polish racer Karolina Sztokfisz with Julie Zogg and Nicole Baumgartner taking home Silver and Bronze, respectively.

In the men's race, 2016 PSL title winner Mueller took the Gold ahead of Dario Caviezel and Nevin Galmarini who therefore became the most successful Swiss athlete on his home slope.
