Snowboard alpine tour moves to Rogla

There’s no slowing down for the FIS Snowboard Alpine World Cup tour, as this weekend the worlds’ best racing snowboarders will right back at it, on site in Rogla (SLO) where PGS competition is set to go down this Saturday at 13:00 CET.
It will be the fourth PGS competition in 2019/20, at a venue that has been a regular host to the snowboard alpine World Cup events since the 2012/13 season. Once again this season the rich Slovenian snowboard alpine history and the nation’s enthusiasm for the sport will be on full display for the eighth-straight World Cup competition at the Rogla venue this Saturday.
When looking for the favourites in Rogla, Ramona Theresa Hofmeister (GER) and Roland Fischnaller (IT)A will be entering the competitions as the respective women’s and men’s PGS World Cup leaders.
Fischnaller has two PGS wins so far in the season, while Hofmeister is having a superb start of the 2019/20 campaign, and she will looking to grab her sixth-straight World Cup victory this weekend in Slovenia.
On the women’s side also keep an eye on Ester Ledecka (CZE), who earned a spectacular second place finish in her first snowboard alpine competition of the season earlier this week in Bad Gastein, after spending the first two months of competition racing on the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup circuit.
Further down the women’s start list also watch out for Ladina Jenny (SUI), Claudia Riegler (AUT), Selina Joerg (GER) and Sofia Nadyrshina (RUS) - the PGS World Cup top-5 up to this point of the season.
In the men’s competition apart from the aforementioned Fischnaller also take into consideration the likes of Benjamin Karl (AUT), Sangho Lee (KOR), Radoslav Yankov (BUL) and Andrey Sobolev (RUS), who most likely will be in the mix for a podium spot based on their latest results in 2019/20.
The competition in Rogla is set to get underway at 9:00 CET with qualifications and the finals following up right after at 13:00.
