Switzerland's Julie Zogg won her third consecutive parallel slalom race in Bannoye on Sunday while Austria's Andreas Prommegger claimed the men's competition to wrap up the season's first weekend of World Cup alpine snowboard racing.

Zogg remained perfect in PSL events in Bannoye, defeating surprise runner-up Tsubaki Miki (JPN) in the big final to make it three victories in a row on the venue in Bannoye after her 2019/20 and 2020/21 triumphs.

With her Bannoye treble and 2019 PSL victory in Moscow, half of Zogg's eight career World Cup victories have now come in Russia.

18 year-old Miki, finished second to reach her first World Cup podium, while Anastasiia Kurochkina (RUS) won the small final to finish third.

In the men's competition, Prommegger defeated Saturday's parallel giant slalom winner Sangho Lee (KOR) in the big final to win his sixth World Cup PSL race and second in Bannoye after his victory in 2019.

Prommegger's biggest challenge on Sunday came in the semifinal when he edged compatriot Arvid Auner by the smallest possible margin – one one-hundredth of a second – to sneak into the big final.

While Lee couldn't complete the Bannoye double, it was still a spectacular weekend for the 26-year-old as he won his first World Cup race on Saturday and made his first World Cup PSL podium on Sunday.

In the small final, Auner defeated countryman Fabian Obmann to finish third and reach his second World Cup podium.

The FIS Snowboard Alpine World Cup will now travel to Italy, with back-to-back races in the Dolomites - Carezza and Cortina d’Ampezzo next week on December 16 and 18.
