For the 10th consecutive time, team Norway wins the title of World Champion in team relay 4x10km. Regarding the shape, team Norway and Russia marked the current favourite role and clearly did not disappoint. The spectacular race proved to become a tough one with a fight for each spot, running up to it's highlight when Johannes Høsflot Klæbo (NOR) faced Sergey Ustiugov (RUS) in the final leg.

Alternating the lead in the first leg Emil Iversen (NOR), Oskar Svensson (SWE) and Alex Harvey (CAN) wanted to ensure a great head start for their teams. The strength had to be used well when Andrey Larkov (RUS) set free from the leading group a half lap before the first exchange. Iversen (NOR), Harvey (CAN) as well as Eisenlauer (GER) managed to react to the unexpected attack and got into the first exchange with a +5.6 second gap.

Sundby took over for team Norway and immediately set out with the goal to get a gap between the following teams. Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia reigned the second leg.

After the third exchange, Clement Parisse (FRA) took over from Maurice Manificat and set out for the hunt of a spot on the podium. After 5km, Parisse caught up the 30 seconds to team Sweden and Finland who slowly started to fall back behind leading Russia and Norway.

Going into the last exchange, Klæbo and Ustiugov faced the fight for Norway and Russia for the win and Hyvarinen and Jouve fought for Finland and France for the last spot on the podium. Johannes Høsflot Klæbo strictly followed Sergey Ustiugov who set the pace for the two lonely leaders. But the young Norwegian was not up for another spectacular sprint and set off already before the final lap.

Norway celebrates the 10th consecutive win with a time of 1:42.32.1. Russia celebrates the silver medal with a gap of +38.8 and France wins the finish sprint against Finland going for bronce, +1:01.0 seconds behind the winning team.
