Official event press release:

The pre-events of the 45th Tartu Marathon, 6th Tartu Relay Marathon and Open Track races, are less than a 10 days ahead, taking place on the 11th of February. Thanks to pretty good snow conditions, it is very likely that the pre-events will be held on the classical Tartu Maraton track.

What are the current conditions on the course? "On the first part it is possible to ski in both freestyle and classic technique. On the last fourth of the course, there is a little bit less snow, but the track is still skiable," the Chief of Course Assar Kütt said. Check out the video below!

Race Director Indrek Kelk said that the final decisions concerning the pre-events will be made in the beginning of next week. "If the weather forecast for next week doesn’t change drastically, then there is a really good chance that the pre-events will take place fully on the original course," he said.

The main races of the 45th Tartu Maraton will be held a week later, on the 18th of February. More info about Tartu Maraton HERE.
