Also on the fourth day of the competition, the cross-country skiing paradise Goms presented itself from its best side.
Of the six medals to be distributed, four are going to Russia, one to Norway and one bronze medal to Lucerne's Nadine Fähndrich.

Several World Cup-proven ladies and men lined up for the starter. In the women's race over 10 km, the Russian Kirpichenko won 13.9 seconds ahead of her team-mate Anna Zherebyateva and 29.6 seconds ahead of the Swiss Nadine Fähndrich.

The men's race over 15 extremely demanding kilometers developed into an upstanding and exciting duel between the Norwegian Mattis Stenshagen and the Russian top favorite Denis Spitsov. Stenshagen's lead was 4.8 seconds after 15 kilometers.

The good-humored and numerous marched spectators were again offered high-level competitions. Yana Kirpichenko started slowly and secured her world championship title with a climb on the last two kilometers, where she was able to improve significantly and left her teammate Anna Zherebyateva clearly behind.

Nadine Fähndrich won another medal for the Swiss women's team. After the silver medal in the sprint, the Olympian was celebrated today as a bronze medal winner. "I am very happy to have done an outstanding job here over the 10 kilometers, and having won my silver medal in the sprint, I have now proven that I am an all-rounder, and I felt very good and able to improve continuously is so cool, it just makes me happy to run, so now I'm getting ready for the Olympics, and that's a girl's dream come true.
