Lenzerheide – an alpine oasis

The idyllic winter sports region Arosa Lenzerheide offers a 360º suntrap for skiers, snowboarders or winter hikers. The ski resort Arosa Lenzerheide promises 225 km of prepared slopes up to 2‘865 metres above sea level. Furthermore, the holiday region offers many opportunities for an active day or relaxation.

Lenzerheide is nestled at an altitude of 1,500 m in a beautiful high mountain valley. There are 56 km of cross-country skiing trails, which lead through the heavenly mountain scenery. There is something here for all cross-country enthusiasts, whether they use the classic or skating techniques. A part of the cross-country skiing trails at Lantsch/Lenz is floodlit every evening, allowing to ski at night.

VENUE INFORMATION

This year Lenzerheide is for the 3rd time a Tour de Ski stage, after January 2016 again as start stage with 3 competition days from the 30th December 2017 until the 1st of January 2018 including sprint races, individual races over 10 respectively 15 km and pursuit races over 10 respectively 15 km. Due to the individual race and the new distances the stadium layout for distance races slightly changed. The athletes will start directly, without start loop, on the 3.75 km respectively 3.3 km course.

The competitions are held in the “Biathlon Arena Lenzerheide”, which has been extended in December 2016 with the substantial Nordic House. In the Tour de Ski Village you will find top infrastructure with a public & VIP-Quadrin and an active zone including a kids parcours.
