Muonio and Bruksvallarna Sunday's results
Aug 31, 2018·Cross-CountryFinland's Anne Kylloenen got her first win of the ski season with 8.2 second victory over Norway's Emilie Kristoffersen in the ladies' 10 km free technique competition in Muonio, Finland. Laura Mononen (FIN) rounded out the podium +14.0 behind her World Cup teammate. Russia's Alexey Chervotkin won the men's 15 km free event by 13.8 seconds over Finland's Iivo Niskanen. In third was Denis Spitsov (RUS) +17.5 behind the winning time.
In Bruksvallarna Sunday's competitions featured the 1 km free technique Sprints. Norway took the top spot for both the ladies and the men. Wenche Aune Snildalsli won ahead of Swedish duo Emma Thalini and Moa Olsson. Snildalsli qualified 7th almost 6 seconds behind top qualifier Olsson but proved strongest in the final. Paal Tröan Aune was the day's fastest in qualification and in the finals. The youngest of the Northug brother's Even was second behind Aune with Anton Persson of Sweden in third.
