National teams on the road, part 2

Summer preparation for the upcoming winter season 2017/18 is in the full swing. Here an overview of the rest of the national teams about their training whereabouts.

France

The French national team has split. The distance team with Martin Fourcade has just started a training camp in Font Romeu, in Pyrénées Orientales in the south of France. The training camp is taking place in the high altitude of 1800-2000m. Long roller skiing training sessions, strength workouts and trail running are on the schedule.

French sprinters and U23 team are working on speed and classic technique in Corrençon.

Czech Republic

Last week the Czech Cross-Country team finished another joint training camp on the home ground in Liberec. A sprint test race, running and roller ski uphill races were on the schedule.

Finland

In July Finnish national team members have been training mostly on their own. Next team camp starts on Monday in Ylläs from 24th - 30th July. After the camp there will be physical tests in Jyväskylä and next camp in Livigno(Pontresina fromon 14th August - 3rd September.

Sweden/Norway

Also the Swedish and Norwegian national teams members have been training at home. For Swedish athletes the next team camp starts in Åre/Valadalen on 3rd August.

The Norwegian national teams are training independently over July and will meet in Lillehammer (women) and Meråker (men) in August.

Canada

Canadian national team spent the latest training camp in Utah. High altitude, great weather and roller skiing seemed like a perfect combination.

USA

The U.S. Ski Team took advantage of the home snow and was training last week in high altitude on Eagle Glacier.

Great Britain

British athletes are working hard these days in Italy.
