(March 28, 2018) - We have seen many of the sport's biggest names announce their retirement from World Cup ski racing at the end of this season. None more dominant in Cross-Country than Poland's Justyna Kowalczyk. Kowalczyk announced on our With 50 World Cup victories and over 100 podiums along with 2 individual Olympic gold medals, 2 World Championship gold medals, a record 4 consecutive Tour de Ski titles, 4 overall WC crystal globes and in 2010 she swept all three crystal globes.  Her accomplishments rank her amongst the greatest all time in the sport of Cross-Country skiing.

Kowalczyk made the announcement on her social media accounts on March 23rd, 2018

We were lucky enough to catch up with her in Canmore in 2016 and made her the focus of our final Inside the Fence for that season.  Thank you for the memories Justyna!
