Québec City to host FIS Cross-Country World Cup Finals 2017

FIS is pleased to announce that the organiser of the Finals for the 2017 FIS Cross-Country World Cup presented by Viessmann will be Québec City (CAN) from 17th – 19th March 2017.
After several weeks of consultations with four National Ski Associations that expressed interest in taking over the upcoming World Cup Final to whom FIS would like to express gratitude for their commitment to Cross-Country Skiing and their interest in taking over the World Cup Finals at short notice.
The Canadian Ski Association Cross-Country Canada with Quebec Winter Events Corporation and Gestev as an experienced organiser will organise a top-level World Cup Final and close the season for the FIS Cross Country World Cup presented by Viessmann with a well organised and professional event.
Competition programme
The FIS Cross Country World Cup Finals 2017 will take place from 17th -19th March during a three-day event (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) with one sprint and two distance races. The exact formats and starting times will be communicated in due course after further discussion with the key stakeholders
