CAREER

• Roponen has competed on the World Cup since 1998
• First World Cup podium in 2006 in La Clusaz
• She won a bronze in the 4 x 5 km relay at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
• Roponen also won two team sprint medals at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships with a gold in 2007 (with Virpi Kuitunen) and a silver in 2005 (with Pirjo Manninen)
• Roponen also earned two more gold medals in the 4 x 5 km relay, earning them in 2007 and 2009
• Roponen’s best individual finish at the Winter Olympics is 6th in the 10 km freestyle at Vancouver in 2010
• She has one individual World Cup victory and five podiums

• She is marries to her coach Toni Roponen. In 2004 she gave birth to daughter Ida, Toni has son Tommy from a previous relationship
