The entire 30k-long course whitened and set
The 2017 Sgambeda is about to take the stage along the 30 kilometer-long course already perfectly set in Livigno (Italy). Next Saturday 2 December, the XC skiing event will kick off at the Nordic Ski Center while the finish line will be set in Vago di Livigno, where the usual big crowd will cheer everybody up. The beautiful whitened landscape and some stunning views all around will complete the picture, La Sgambeda won't disappoint anyone, that is guaranteed.
The event is part of the Visma Ski Classics series and about 700 hundred XC skiing lovers, pros and amateurs, already registered to Saturday's event. Online entries will be open until Wednesday 29, while the race office located in Plaza Placheda in town center will open its doors on 30 November.
Some World Cup race tests took place in Livigno in the past days and so the Sgambeda course was properly tested. The 2017 Sgambeda will start at 9.30 AM (Women élite) and 10.00 AM (Men élite + all participants).
La Sgambeda will entertain everyone in Livigno next Saturday with the Welcome Party from 12.00 to 14.00. Radio Montecarlo will play some good tunes and there will be food, drink and local brewed beer by Galletto delle Alpi and Birra 1816, the highest beer in Europe.
Registration and bib collection are scheduled on Thursday 30 November in Plaza Placheda (from 14 to 19) and Friday 1 December (9-12.30 // 14-19). Bib collection is available on race day from 7.30 to 9.00 as well. On race day, the Expo Area will be open all day while the prize giving ceremony will start at 2.30 PM.
