START OF THE SPORTING CAREER
• At the age of 2 Tim stood on skis for the first time
• During his first years in school Tim was a member of the local football team
• At the age of 10 Tim joined the Cross-Country team
• During his first worldcup season Tim could achieve his biggest success: silver in the team sprint competition at the Olympic Winter Games in 2010 (together with Axel Teichmann)
PERSONAL
• In 2009 Tscharnke graduated and started to study at the Custom school and joined the Customs Ski Team
• He is a customs sergeant
• He likes speedskating and traveling
• His favorite dish is Thuringian Dumplings with red cabbage and beef roll
