Canmore, Canada - Frozen Thunder 2018

Canmore’s snow farm started being rolled out on Sunday, October 14. The first day of skiing will be Saturday, Oct 20th.

High performance teams will again be able to have dedicated use of the 2km track from 7:30am to 12:00 noon. Recreational skiers, clubs and members of the public will be able to ski to their hearts content all afternoon.

Skiers in the Bow Valley got an early taste of winter at the end of September with an unexpected 40cm snowfall, followed by more snow in the first week of October. Keen skiers took to the 50km of trails at the Canmore Nordic Centre with enthusiasm.

The first races will be on October 29th (sprint) and 30th (distance).
