The second edition of the Fiemme Rollerski Cup will see many champions take part in the races on 15th and 16th September in Ziano di Fiemme (ITA). The event will mark the final stage of the FIS Rollerski World Cup season 2018.

Attractive formats for amateur racers, who will have the possibility to participate either in the long-distance race of 50 km or in the shorter distance of 20 km, are part of the action as well. The Fiemme Rollerski Cup is also the final stage of the Mini Tour Rollerski Trentino 2018.

Many champions have already entered for the competitions, among them Tord Asle Gjerdalen (NOR), the winner of many editions of the Marcialonga, as well as Justyna Kowalczyk (POL), two-time World and Olympic gold medallist and winner of the last edition of the Fiemme Rollerski Cup. She perhaps knows best how to climb Alpe Cermis as four overall Tour de Ski victories are testament to.

The list continues with Morten Eide Pedersen (NOR), Anders Aukland NOR) and local heroes Giacomo Gabrielli (ITA) and Mauro Brigadoi (ITA), who has been one of the best Italian Cross-Country skiers in the Visma Ski Classics for years, as well as Francesco Ferrari of team Trentino Robinson. Kari Gjeitnes (NOR), Maria Graefnings (SWE) and Andreas Nygaard (NOR) will be present as well. Of course, there are also more Italian athletes vying for good World Cup results, among them Anna and Lisa Bolzan, Emanuele and Francesco Becchis, Alba Mortagna, Jacopo Giardina and Alessio Berlanda.

Local hero Berlanda was one of the main protagonists in last year’s edition, having many years of experience and physical strength. Obviously, his father Silvano will not be competing with him, but he will join the "expedition" of the Fiemme Rollerski Cup taking part in the amateurs’ race.
