The fight for the top spots in the World Cup overall rankings is still going. At the Svenska Skidspelen in Falun - the last stop on European ground for the FIS Cross-Country World Cup - sprint superstar Stina Nilsson takes the win home for Sweden before Maiken Caspersen Falla (NOR) and Maja Dahlqvist (SWE).

On the mens side, Johannes Høsflot Klæbo ensured another victory and laid ground for his team mates Emil Iversen who becomes 2nd and Sindre Bjørnestad Skar, ranked 3rd.

"Spring surely arrived", Stina Nilsson stated in her winners interview and referred to the snow conditions during the heats. Indeed the snow became soft and partly slushy which was an additional challenge for the athletes to tackle. Nevertheless, the pace was kept high and the skiers really had to get out their tactical skills to earn their spots.

Accompanied by a great crowd of Swedish spectators, Martin Bergstroem ensured a share in the finals as he showed a fantastic race and ended up on the 5th rank.
