Though the most famous cross-country skiing race in the Czech Republic will take place from 8 to 10 February, the possibility to register for the most favourable price will end on 30 September. More than 2,400 racers have already taken advantage of this opportunity and registered for one of the seven races of the 52nd Jizerská 50, which is part of the Visma Ski Classics and Worldloppet race series.

The Jizerská 50 is one of the oldest and most popular races in the Czech Republic. It was held for the first time exactly 50 years ago. In 2019, the Jizerská 50 will build on the outstanding 51st edition, in which a record 7,289 racers from thirty countries participated.

The Jizerská 50 takes place only an hour from Prague in the beautiful Jizera Mountains Protected Landscape Area and offers an excellent opportunity for skiing, as you will see for yourself. You can even travel the trail of the main race from the comfort of your own home by means of Google Street View.

If you want to participate in any of the Jizerská 50 races, you have only a few days left to save on the starting fee. The race weekend will again offer a diverse programme, from which you can choose one or more of the classic or freestyle races. Of course, the traditional Mini Jizerská children’s race will be part of the event.
