Russians take over 50km at Holmenkollen

With 22 years and 68 days, Alexander Bolshunov becomes the youngest winner of the legendary 50km race at Oslo's Holmenkollen. He shares the podium with his team mates Maxim Vylegzhanin and Andrey Larkov.

Conditions were just perfect for the Russian team today around the historical 50km course of Holmenkollen. With rank 4, Ilia Semikov adds to the Russian top results before Canadian Alex Harvey breaks the list, ending up on the 5th place. The Norwegian team take in rank 6 to 9, led by the favourite Martin Johnsrud Sundby.

Maxim Vylegzhanin ends his international career with the 2nd rank in one of his most memorable venues. "I started here at Holmenkollen in 2007 with the 7th place and since then I was getting 4th, 3rd, 2nd and actually it's my best place to compete here ", he stated after the race.
