Sergey Ustiugov successfully operated on his thumb

FIS Tour de Ski 2017/18 winner and 2-time World Champion Sergey Ustiugov (RUS) was successfuly operated on his thumb.
"The operation went smoothly, without any complications. Sergey was taken to the operating room at 12 o'clock in the afternoon, and at half past three he was already in the ward. Doctors recommended Sergei to stay at hospital until Thursday in order to be sure that the healing of the punctures was good and the tissues are not inflamed. So I can say that everything is still moving according to plan, "Roman Erlikhman, the head doctor of the Russian Ski Team told RIA Novosti.
Sergey Ustiugov suffered the injury in a roller skiing accident during the training camp in Val Senales, Italy. We wish Sergey a speedy recovery.
