Blinkfestivalen is back! The biggest Roller Skiing event in the world BLINK was first arranged in 2006 and has since constantly increased its popularity as the number one event in summer.

Throughout 4 competition days the organizers of the Blinkfestivalen are looking forward to welcome big names to the region of Sandnes (NOR).

The festival starts on Wednesday the 31st July with the classic long distance race “BLINK Classics”. On Thursday the athletes battle the tough hills of Lysebotn, surrounded by spectacular scenery and a real “Tour de France” atmosphere. The festivities continue through Friday and Saturday, as the world elite rolls onto the streets of Sandnes city center! It`s expected that about 70’000 spectators will come to visit BLINK!

The Norwegian national teams in both Cross-Country and Biathlon will arrive with their best athletes to compete against 100 of the best international athletes. It is expected athletes from more than 20 nations to start.

The festival will be broadcasted during prime-time on NRK 1 with a total of 8,5 hours during these four days.

However, BLINK is not only for elite skiers. Kids, youth, juniors and senior amateurs/recreational skiers are all welcome. In last years edition of BLINK, about 1’000 kids, youth and juniors were present at the start line together with the world Elite from Cross-Country and Biathlon. Additionally, about 3’500 kids from the age of 4 to 5 years tried Roller Skiing and laser shooting in our Kid Camp in Sandnes during BLINK.
