Ski Tour 2020 is not only a unique venture as it involves many different venues and the Ski Associations of two Scandinavian countries. It is also the first time that the participating athletes will travel by train between the venues. The organizers behind the Ski Tour 2020 has decided to set an example for future organizers by making Ski Tour 2020 as sustainable as possible.

The effort includes, among other things, to make it mandatory for the athletes and teams to travel by train from Östersund to Trondheim during the Tour, thereby minimizing the use of fossil-fuel operated transportation. Making demands on sponsors and partners to also include sustainability in their activities on the tour is another example of how Ski Tour 2020 will make this venture a unique experience for ski fans and athletes alike.

Ski Tour 2020 is working towards and supports the Sustainable Development Goals. The organizers have taken action to contribute to the goals of Climate actionGender equality and Partnerships for the goals, among others.
