Diggins and Miyazawa dominate Wintergames NZ ANC Cup

The seventh edition of the FIS Australia New Zealand Cup (ANC) Cross-Country events were held at the iconic Snow Farm in Central Otago, New Zealand. The three day competition program included a Classic Sprint, 5/10km Interval Start and a 10/15km Mass Start. Jessie Diggins, Olympic Champion from 2018 who is currently benefits from the wintery training conditions in the southern hemisphere took the chance and joined the Wintergames NZ for the second time after 2018.

Diggins clearly dominated the tracks of the Wintergames NZ Cross-Country competitions, taking home three gold medals. On her heels were Jukari Tanaka (JPN) and Julia Kern, also from the US team who both took changes to get back into training mood.

The mens result lists are dominated by Japans distance expert and National Champion Hiroyuki Miyazawa with winning gold at the sprint and 15km and one silver at the 10km. The distance expert from Japan uses the Snow Farm conditions in New Zealand to get a divers training on snow in between Roller Skiing competitions.
