The head of the Swedish Cross-Country department has decided to move on in his professional career after working for the Swedish Ski Federation for 10 years.

"It has been a fantastic journey with the long-distance team and Ski-Sweden, but now it's time to move on. I'm ready for new challenges", says the outgoing senior manager.

Johan Sares joined the Swedish Ski Federation as marketing manager in 2008. He was recruited from a completely different world - hockey - and took on his new duties with life and desire.

"I didn't know much about Cross-Country skiing when I started skiing, but I quickly got into the job. The long-distance sport has really enchanted me from the first day. It has been fun, inspiring and exciting in every way.
I have felt a tremendous pride in being involved in leading and developing this enthusiastic and successful business that is imbued with impressive skills and aspirations", said Johan Sares after his decision.
