On Friday, 28th February 2020, the Junior World Ski Championships in Oberwiesenthal (GER) will be launched. The Cross-Country competitions will be held in the Sparkassen-Skiarena at an altitude of 1'100m, which is located about four kilometers outside of the town center of spa resort Oberwiesenthal. Along the course, athletes and teams will be located at the trail house which offers enough space for team meetings, changing rooms, timekeeping and catering facilities.

Throughout the JWSC, a live stream will be available on www.jwm2020.de to follow up on all competitions live.

"Before I got to the boarding school, Oberwiesenthal was always the center of winter sports in my home country. You have all the training options you need as a winter sports enthusiast in a confined space, Ski slopes and so on ... and that makes Oberwiesenthal one of the most important winter sports centers in Germany, if not worldwide. As part of the JWSC, these conditions have been improved once again, so 'Othal' remains an important location for young winter sports enthusiasts.“Katharina Hennig, Cross-Country ambassador for JWSC Oberwiesenthal
