The FIS Cross-Country World Cup and premium sponsor of the Tour de Ski, Le Gruyère AOP had a very special challenge ready for the past World Cup season. During all the events that were sponsored by Le Gruyère AOP, the podium winners did not only each get a 2.5kg piece of Le Gruyère AOP cheese but also entered the "Cheese Challenge" ranking.

Goal of the ranking was to count all the podium spots of an athlete and to reward the winner with a very special prize. Therese Johaug who reached the podium 17 times during Le Gruyère AOP sponsored World Cups ended up with a total of 42.5kg of cheese and the first prize with a 4-day trip to Switzerland! The trip for 2 people in La Gruyère includes 3 nights incl. flight and car rental to cruise around the region and explore the region around the Maison du Gruyère as well as a fondue night and a lunch at the La Maison du Gruyère.

Second ranked Johannes Høsflot Klæbo and Alexander Bolshunov as well as third ranked Heidi Weng each receive a original Le Gruyère fondue set including everything from stove to wine that you need to get rid of the 30kg+ amount of cheese they won during the season.

We congratulate and wish "bon appetit"!
