Petter Myhlback becomes head of Swedish service team

In 2007 he went to the World Cup in Sapporo, in 2012 he started the staffing agency Clockwork and now he works for a Norwegian ski team and is a ski gym coach in Trysil. In May, Petter Myhlback steps up to the prestigious assignment as electoral manager for the Cross-Country team.

"If someone asked me about my dream job a month ago, I would not have answered the whaling manager, but during the recruitment process it has grown into a dream job that is close to my DNA as a skier. I am very happy with the trust and look forward to stepping on the assignment," Petter Myhlback comments on his new role.

The work of adding the next season's national team organization is in full swing and now length coach Daniel Fåhraeus can present Petter Myhlback, Swedish World Cup rider from Sapporo 2007, as new field manager after Anders Niemi chose to step aside.
"This feels great. Petter, Anders Byström and I all share the same leadership philosophy and Petter holds two certifications regarding behavior tools, I myself have a certification. We become a good troika who thinks equally about how leadership should be conducted, which gives us even better conditions to build an organizational culture that is based on openness and clarity," says a satisfied Fåhraeus.

Until 2004, Petter Myhlback belonged to the Swedish elite in mountain biking, but in 2004 he went all the way to skiing and immediately got several national team assignments, mainly as a sprinter. After the 2007 World Cup, Petter continued to compete for another year before he even put his elite career on skis on the shelf.

After the skiing career, Myhlback participated and took home the World Cup to Falun 2015 through his work to sell the campaign to local companies.
"As a skier from Dalarna I burned a lot to get a World Cup to Falun. It was great when we succeeded," recalls Myhlback.

Working with the World Cup campaign led to the job as consulting manager at Proffice, where he stayed for two years before, together with three friends, started the Clockwork staffing agency.
"It was a fantastic story to build a company that nobody even knew the name from the start, to having around 400 employees in 14 locations in Sweden in five years," Myhlback says.

However, skiing has still kept Petter very warm about his heart. A year ago he left Clockwork and today lives with his family in Trysil, Norway, where he is a trainer at the ski gym. But Myhlback continues to have several irons in the fire and is also well responsible and assistant coach for the Bygdø ski team in Oslo, where Sondre Sundby is responsible coach.

Now Myhlback looks forward to taking a new step in his career.
"It feels awesome and I am very happy with the confidence to be offered the position as a whaling manager for the cross country team. I really look forward to working with the top competence in the area - the amazingly talented ramparts in the trailer. It will be fun to share their knowledge and guide them in their work,” says Petter.

Petter Myhlback begins his employment at SSF on May 1, at the same time as the new national service manager Anders Byström will also take up his position.
"I will immediately start by adding next season's grassland organization, which will include Anders Niemi, among others. It feels great to have his skills and support with me," concludes Myhlback.
