PREVIEW WOMEN'S SPRINT FREESTYLE DRAMMEN (Konnerud)
Maiken Caspersen Falla has won 21 individual sprint events in the World Cup, second most among women behind Marit Bjørgen (40).
Falla could win an individual sprint World Cup on Norwegian snow for the eighth time. It would equal Bjørgen's record of most sprint wins in a single country: eight in Finland.
Falla has already won a record five individual sprint World Cups in Drammen. She won five of the last six individual sprint World Cups here.
Linn Svahn has won three individual World Cup sprint events, all three in 2019/20: in the classic style in Falun (8 February) and in the free in Dresden (11 January) and Davos (14 December).
Svahn can become the youngest skier, male or female, to win more than three individual sprint World Cup events before turning 21. Pirjo Muranen set the current record at age 21-286.
Svahn (20 years, 86 days) can also become the youngest skier, male or female, to claim a sixth World Cup victory in all events. Charlotte Kalla holds this record as she won her sixth World Cup event at age 20-68.
Stina Nilsson (18) and Hanna Falk (4) are the only Swedish women to have won more individual World Cup sprint events than Svahn (3).
Jonna Sundling could claim her third individual sprint World Cup win. Stina Nilsson (18), Hanna Falk (4) and Linn Svahn (3) have won more among Swedish women.
Nadine Fähndrich finished third in the sprint classic event in Trondheim on 22 February. She became the second Swiss woman to claim a top-three finish in an individual sprint World Cup after Laurien van der Graaff.
Astrid Uhrenholdt Jacobsen (17) is the woman on most World Cup sprint podiums without ever winning one. She finished third in Åre on 18 February.
Anamarija Lampic has won two individual sprint World Cup events this season, both stages in the Tour de Ski: in Lenzerheide on 29 December (freestyle) and in Val di Fiemme on 4 January (classic style).
Lampic's only other World Cup win was a victory in the sprint classic in Pyeongchang on 3 February 2017.
Natalia Nepryaeva won the sprint classic in Oberstdorf on 26 January, her first sprint victory in the World Cup.
Nepryaeva can become the second Russian woman to win multiple sprint events in the World Cup, after Natalia Matveeva (2).
