"In this year's Ski Show in Holmenkollen there will be far more female cross-country skiers on the starting line, compared to last year, it's great", says the organizer.
Last year there were 14 cross-country skiers to start in the prologue in Holmenkollen. At the time of writing, 23 female practitioners are registered for Thursday's summer duel.

"It is of course very gratifying that even more girls are starting. We have the world's best ski girls in Norway and this is a good venue for testing the summer form"Kristin Vestgren Sæterøy, general manager of Holmenkollen Ski Festival

Hoping for "slightly better" weather

Also Finnish Krista Parmakoski has been registered on Thursday's skier, as the only foreign performer to date. Last year she came to a 11th place in the competition.

"I am ready to fight the strong Norwegian team and look forward to it. And then I hope the weather this year will be a little better than last year", says Parmakoski, who recalls a very rainy June day in Holmenkollen.

The prologues start at 18.15 and the finals are sent directly to NRK at 20:00. It is free for the public to watch the race from the stands.
