Weapon of choice: equipment changes for the 2019/20 season

What's the recipe to become one of the worlds finest Cross-Country skier?

The FIS Cross-Country skiers are currently preparing their physical shape for the World Cup season 2019/20, with 21 venues awaiting the athletes in 10 countries.

The season starts with the traditional Ruka Triple on Friday, 29th November 2019. The Tour de Ski highlight visits three venues - Lenzerheide (SUI), Toblach (ITA) and Val di Fiemme (ITA).
A fresh concept and series awaits in Scandinavia mid January with the Ski Tour 2020, stopping at Östersund (SWE), Åre (SWE), Storlien-Meraker (NOR) and Trondheim (NOR).
The busy season concludes with the Sprint Tour in north America with Québec (CAN) and Minneapolis (USA) and the World Cup finals in Canmore (CAN) with the first ever Mixed relay on 22nd March 2020.

Besides the mental and physical aspects, athletes and teams have chosen and tested new equipment that accompanies them throughout the season.

FISCHER welcomes Heidi Weng (NOR), Hans Christer Holund (NOR) and Iivo Niskanen (FIN) to the Fischer Race family. All three top athletes trust the proucts of the high quality performer and chose skis, boots as well as the Turnamic® bindings from Fischer.

ATOMIC is happy to welcome six new top athletes to the team with U23 World Champion Andrea Sobakarev (RUS),  Ivan Kirillov (RUS), Diana Golovan (RUS), Magne Haga (NOR), Bernhard Tritscher (AUT) as well as Livio Bieler (SUI).

ROSSINGNOL athletes regularly get an exclusive look behind the scenes of the  high performance brand and are ask to not only give their inputs but also to help manufacturing their own skis from scratch. For the upcoming season, Rossignol welcomes Niklas Dyrhaug (NOR), Anna Zherebyateva (RUS), Joachim Aurland (NOR) and Caterina Ganz (ITA) to the family.

Also Laurien van der Graaff (SUI), long-term member of the Rossignol family, took the opportunity to put hands on manufacturing her own skis!
