For the second stage of the Tour de Ski 2021 with todays 15km C, last year’s Tour winner Alexander Bolshunov (RUS) lived up to all expectations taking the victory with a margin of 23.5 seconds. The Russian constantly built up his speed and performance throughout the four laps, leaving his successors clearly behind heading into the third lap.

On the hunt remained his team colleagues Alexey Chervotkin, Evgeniy Belov, Ivan Yakimushkin as well as the Swiss Dario Cologna who grew up only a few hundred meters away from todays start line.

Heading back through the S-curve into the stadium, Chervotkin and Belov went through a difficult maneuvre which ended in a crash whereas Cologna took his chance for a podium spot and crossed the finish line as second ranked. Ivan Yakimushkin who drifted off the course when passing his team colleagues managed to get back on track and finished 1.8 seconds behind Cologna on third spot.
