The 15th anniversary of the Blink Skifestival in Norway will take place from 6th to 9th August in a special format due to ongoing Covid-19 restrictions. The well established summer event for an international field of nordic junior and elite athletes usually welcomes skiers from 20 nations in the Norwegian town of Sandnes. In the 2020 version, only elite Cross-Country and Biatlon skiers from Norway will be allowed to take part in the competitions. Additionally, the best Teams from the Visma Ski Classics series will take part.

Norways big stars like Therese Johaug, Maiken Caspersen Falla, Johannes Høsflot Klæbo, Sjur Røthe, Marte Olsbu Røiseland, Tiril Eckhoff and the Bø Brothers confirmed their participation and have already travelled to Sandnes to train before the first competitions.

BLINK 2020 streamed on NRK

Blink Festivalen will be streamed in a large scale by Norways national tv station NRK. The station trippled the TV hours for Blink to a total of 21 hours prime time during 5 days of competition. NRK will also open the signal and let the international audience get access.
