The start of the Cross-Country World Cup season 2010/21 comes in sight and preparations are in full swing for the start of the World Cup in Ruka, Finland.

As the World Cup opener, Finland has published to welcome special groups to enter from all countries on justifiable grounds. In order to ensure a safe environment into the start of the World Cup season, stations around northern Finland have thus established special pre-camps offers for World Cup teams, including requirements for the teams arrival, stay and departure. The conditions will provide safe and controlled bases for the teams prior to the World Cup.

Ruka Nordic World Cup opener
The local organizers of the World Cup opener in Ruka, Kuusamo have established pre-season training camp possibilities. In consultation with the Finnish Boarder Guard it was approved that teams will not have to apply for a separate permission if their training program has been included in the FIS Ruka Nordic Health and Safety plan. The health protection plan is currently being finalized. Upon approval, teams are able to travel to Finland.

Further needed Covid-19 test on site will be done by a private health care provider.  Teams will also be supported in their journey onwards to the World Cup opener at Ruka Nordic.
